Kricket the seven inch German Shepherd Dog

Kricket, who belongs to Mary Higgins of Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, UK was born in July 2003.    

Sadly, he has a rare disease, an effect of which is that he will grow to no more than a quarter of the size of a regular German Shepherd Dog.     

Currently he weighs just eight pounds, but has already beaten the odds, because many dogs with his condition die shortly after birth.

Expert opinion suggests that he will grow another two inches, and will live for approximately four years.

Mary said: “He may be little, but he is a wonderful character.”
