Every day you should reach out and touch someone.

People love human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

Introduction

It must be emphasised that while The Project 5 Peaceful Response System pre-supposes that there are intuitive, preventive, pro-active and pre-emptive levels of response it is very much rooted in the concept of visual, verbal and tactile communication.  Methods of prevention, monitoring, assessment, and avoidance through careful planning and awareness are fundamental to the Project 5 system.

The tactile strategies that are emphasised within our system are the very antithesis of reactive and aversive methods.  They constitute a science that instils confidence and a caring mind-set.  Consequently, behaviour that challenges the service becomes far less frequent.
