What makes Shinseido special?
I asked members of Shinsei Kan what makes Shinseido special.
The following comments were those I received...

Shinseido employs escalating defence tactics (defence through peaceful means before defence through more reactive means)

It employs soft techniques that are deceptively effective and can be performed without the need for excessive force or strength.
Shinseido is unique as it specialises in the use of martial arts to be aware and to manage aggression in all its many forms. This includes ones own aggression and that of an antagonist.
Two high graded instructors facilitate the development of each individual.

The system works for everyone, no matter what their physical attributes are.

There are no formal grading examinations.  Students are assessed on a continual basis and promoted when they have completed each progressive section in their own time.

Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own needs in training.

Shinseido is conducted in a fun type family atmosphere the emphasis being on developing the whole individual and not just his or her techniques.

The learning process enables one to draw on and incorporate one's own previous life or martial arts experience.

Ours is a way of life providing a true sense of purpose.  The style can be practised by men and women, young and old, regardless of physical condition.
